This Privacy Policy describes how VocaMany (“we”, “us”) processes personal data when you use our mobile application and related services.
Data controller and contact

Information we collect
We collect information you provide and information generated when you use the app:
- Account and authentication data: for example email address, user identifiers, and authentication details when you sign in (including sign-in with Google where you choose it).
- Learning and app activity data: vocabulary progress, quiz results, topics, unknown and learned words, proficiency level, preferences (such as language pair, theme, and related settings), and similar data needed to provide the learning experience.
- Social and challenge features: information related to friend invites, groups, challenges, and competition results, as needed to operate those features.
- AI quiz features: when you use AI-assisted quiz creation, text you submit is processed to generate quizzes. Do not paste content you are not allowed to share.
- Push notifications: a device token may be processed to deliver notifications you opt into (for example friend invites).
- Device and app data: basic technical data needed for the app to run, consistent with your platform (for example app version, device type), and information stored locally on your device (such as cached preferences or offline content).
How we use information
We use personal data to provide, maintain, and improve VocaMany; to sync your progress across devices when you use an account; to operate notifications and social features you use; to process subscriptions where applicable; to secure the service; and to comply with law.
Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on your region, we may rely on performance of a contract (providing the service you request), legitimate interests (for example securing the service and preventing abuse), consent (where required for notifications or other optional processing), and legal obligations.
Third-party services and processors
We use service providers to operate the app. Key providers include Google services such as Firebase (for example authentication, cloud database/storage, and cloud messaging for push notifications) and Google Play (for in-app purchases and subscription handling). These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

Payments
Purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card details. Google provides us with transaction-related information needed to validate entitlements.
Retention and deletion
We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business purposes (for example security and legal compliance). You may be able to delete certain cloud-stored progress data from within the app settings where that feature is available. Deleting your account (where offered) or requesting deletion may require additional steps—contact us at info@vocamany.com if you need help.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law (for example GDPR or KVKK), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us at info@vocamany.com to exercise your rights.
Children
VocaMany is not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required in your region. If you believe we have collected personal data from a child without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
International transfers
Because we use cloud providers such as Google, your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Google provides appropriate safeguards as described in its documentation and policies.
Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Advertising
The app does not currently integrate third-party advertising SDKs (such as Google AdMob). If we introduce advertising in a future version, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required by law, obtain your consent and provide additional disclosures.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may require additional notice where required by law.
